Privacy Policy
Effective August 14, 2026 · Last updated August 18, 2026
Cage Work is coaching software. Much of what it holds is film and information about young athletes, so this policy is written to be read by a parent, not only by a lawyer.
01 Who we are
Cage Work is operated by Sappworks LLC, a Georgia limited liability company based in Richmond Hill, Georgia, United States. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Sappworks LLC, and "Cage Work" means our website at getcagework.com and our mobile apps.
Questions about this policy go to privacy@getcagework.com.
02 Two kinds of relationship
Cage Work is sold to coaches and training facilities. That creates two different relationships, and your rights depend on which one applies to you.
If you are a coach who subscribes to Cage Work, we are the company you bought software from. We handle your account and billing information directly.
If you are an athlete or a parent, your coach's program invited you, and your coach decides what goes into it. We store and protect that information on the program's behalf and we do not decide what to collect about you. Requests to see, correct, or remove athlete information are usually fastest through the coach who runs the program. We will always help if the coach cannot.
03 What we collect
Account information
- First and last name
- Email address
- A password, which is stored only as a cryptographic hash and is never visible to us or to your coach
- Notification preferences
Athlete profile, entered by the athlete, a parent, or the coach
- Primary and secondary position, batting and throwing side
- Birth year
- Team or competition level
- Training goals, in free text
- Parent or guardian name, phone number, and email address
Training content
- Film. Video clips of athletes uploaded by a coach or an athlete
- Coaching marks. Drawings placed over a frame of film, typed notes, and recorded voice notes from a coach
- Messages between a coach and an athlete, including whether a message has been read
- Sessions on the program calendar and who has responded to them
- Handouts a coach uploads and assigns, and whether an athlete has opened one
Billing, for subscribing coaches only
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a customer reference, subscription status, and renewal date. We never receive or store your full card number.
Technical information
Our providers keep standard server logs, including IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps, used to keep the service running and to investigate abuse. Cage Work contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
04 Children and young athletes
Cage Work is designed for athletes aged 13 and older. An athlete under 13 may take part only through a parent or guardian, and only where the program has obtained verifiable parental consent before adding the athlete. Coaches agree to this in our terms.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without that consent. If we learn we have, we delete the account and its film promptly.
A parent or guardian may at any time ask to see what we hold about their child, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to privacy@getcagework.com. We will not require the parent to have an account to make that request.
Film of a minor is only ever visible to that athlete, the athlete's parent or guardian where they share the account, and coaches in the program that uploaded it. It is never public, never indexed by search engines, and never used to train machine learning models.
05 Text message alerts
If a coach turns on text alerts for their program, we may send SMS messages to the phone number an athlete's parent or guardian provided at signup, or to a coach's own number, letting them know about schedule changes and cancellations.
We do not share phone numbers with any third party for their own marketing or any other purpose. Twilio, the company that sends the text on our behalf, uses the number only to deliver that message.
Message frequency varies with your program's schedule. Most people receive at most a few messages a week, only when a session changes or is cancelled. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or contact your coach to be removed.
06 How we use information
- To run the features you are using: film review, messaging, scheduling, handouts, and rosters
- To send email or text you asked for, such as session reminders, schedule changes, and unread message notices, each of which can be turned off in Settings
- To take payment from subscribing coaches and to manage subscriptions
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems
- To answer support requests
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your film, notes, or messages to train artificial intelligence models.
07 Who else touches your information
We keep the list short on purpose. Each of these companies works for us under contract and may use the information only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, file storage for film and handouts, and sign-in. Hosted in the United States. |
| Netlify | Website and app hosting. |
| Stripe | Subscription payments for coaches. |
| Resend | Sending notification and account email. |
| Twilio | Sending text message alerts, for programs that turn this on. |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If Sappworks LLC is ever sold, information may transfer to the buyer, who would remain bound by this policy or give you notice before changing it.
08 How long we keep it
Account and training information is kept while the account is active. A program may set a film retention period, after which clips are deleted automatically.
When a coach removes an athlete from a roster, the athlete loses access immediately and their film and messages stay with the program until the program deletes them or the account is deleted.
Backups are kept for a short period for disaster recovery and then age out, so deleted information can persist briefly in backup before it is fully gone.
09 Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app. Open Settings, scroll to Delete account, and confirm. This is a permanent deletion, not a deactivation.
- An athlete or coach who deletes their account has their profile, film, coaching marks, voice notes, messages, and session history erased.
- A program owner who deletes their account also deletes the program, including all of its athletes' film, messages, sessions, and handouts. Other members keep their login but lose access to the program.
If you cannot reach the app, write to privacy@getcagework.com and we will delete the account for you.
10 Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Film and handouts are held in private storage and are reachable only through short-lived links issued to signed-in users who are entitled to see them. Every database query is filtered at the database level by program, so one program's data cannot be read by another.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell affected users and act as the law requires.
11 Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to privacy@getcagework.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, along with the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of.
Cage Work is intended for use in the United States and we do not target users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
12 Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For a change that meaningfully affects how we handle your information, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
